Percy - the tank engine.

I made my own board  - as the cake was unusual size. Cardboard was cut and wrapped in wrapping paper or Thomas the tank. Then covered with cling film.

Build the cake - I baked chocolate sponge and bought vanilla roulade to complete the shape of the engine. Cover cake with vanilla frosting and chill. Colour icing in green, red. black, yellow and grey. 

Slowly cover sides of the cake -  follow the picture as reference. 

Pay attention to details - stripes, etc.

Make the face of Percy, slowly attach to the rest of the engine.

Add other little details to the cake - pipes , tanks and wheels.

All done.
