Baby boy on the way !

I did this in the hurry so only one picture.

Bake sponges, fill them with raspberry jam and vanilla icing. Cover whole cake with icing , chill, colour fondant, roll it out and cover the cake.

Make letter of fondant and let then dry. Stick them on the cake using the icing. Make a pram cutting out the circle - cut 3/4 of it. Use stencil and blue colouring for icing. Allow to dry, place circle in the middle of the cake sticking it down with icing.

Cut out two more circles for wheels.
Pipe icing on wheels, cross beneath the pram, little blanket and lines on pram.

Don't forget the handle as I did. I had to pipe it on later !

Strawberry and cream cupcakes.

Classic flavours rule !

Bake cupcakes using your favourite mix with flavouring and pink colouring.

Cool. Prepare cream cheese frosting  - use yellow colouring. Make white chocolate hearts  - i coloured my white chocolate pink and used strawberry flavouring.

Pipe frosting onto cup cakes, use colourful sprinkles and chocolate hearts to decorate.
Then just eat !

pop cakes differently

I don't think I am Scroogey but  hate waste ! I had some off cuts from the cake I made as well as some grey icing. So I did these:

Use silicone baskets. Melt chocolate, line silicone baskets with it and chill.

Prepare pop cakes by mixing sponge bits with icing and fill the chocolate lining.
Chill again.

Use moulds to make hearts - chill.

Cover chilled baskets with more chocolate, chill and remove the silicone basket. Glue hearts on the top of the mini cake. Sweet , isn't it?

Monster High cup cakes

To go with the big cake.

Bake the chocolate cupcakes and wait till they are cooled.

Prepare fondant ribbons and icing.

Pipe coloured icing on cupcakes add pink and sprinkles and white sweets as well as dry ribbons.

Monster High cake

Girlie Monster High Cake:

Bake two sponges until golden.

Cut the tops off so you can achieve nice straight cake.

One sponge is covered with jam the other with vanilla butter cream.

Join the sponges together and then cover all cake with butter cream. Chill.
Prepare fondant decoration - use stencil then cut the shapes you need  - the skull and the ribbon.
Allow to dry.

Colour and roll out pink fondant and cover the cake.

Place all decoration on the top,

Then finish decorating with grey fondant creating zebra effect.

Carrot cupcakes

Simple little almost healthy cakes.

Prepare your usual cupcake mix and add grated carrots.

I am not keen carrot eater so I added some orange peel too. Nuts go well with this recipe too,

Pinch of black pepper. Mix it up, fill cupcakes to half of basket and bake.

Make your own carrots - it will come at the fraction of cost should you but them in the shop.
Colour some icing, roll it into cone shape, use a knife to make little ridges, insert green icing and let to dry.

Dip cooled cakes into icing made of icing sugar and lemon juice.

Decorate with carrots and orange peel. Looks good with other cakes too.
