Someone asked me the other day how did I start baking..
Well this is my very second fondant cake . I baked sponge cakes many times before but never actually decorated one . My friend is professional baker but she was not willing to share a secret of fondant. My other friend was not baker and she managed well .
I said to myself - I must try it ! At least for once!
So I baked a cake and made cream cheese icing for very first time. I filled my cake with jam and icing and then coloured my fondant blue . As I was processing the fondant it became marbled blue and I decided that was pretty.
I covered my cake and cut out some flower circles and letters Mo.
I made up the royal icing and made flowers with silver sweets on it.
I surprised myself really ! Not that bad for a amateur is it ?!
